Not walking related

This was a very busy weekend. On Saturday, darling hubby and I went had the chance to see Eddie Izzard in concert with friends, what a blast !!!!! He is such an intelligent comic that you can't help but learn something while you are laughing your butt off. On Saturday I also got to visit with an extremely youthful "old" friend, I didn't want there to be any confusion there, she is not old, at least not any older than I am, but I have known her since High School (23 years now). We met for breakfast that turned into lunch. Wonderful visit.

Sunday, I walked ten miles with Meg, then we went to UB's house for a BBQ to see his sister who is in town visiting. Great to see you, Rochelle, and THANK YOU !!!!!!, for the amazing contribution to my Breast Cancer 3-day fund.

On Monday, we were supposed to head back over to UB's for the annual Bacon Roast, but the weather and my sore, tired, body kept us home. We did summon up enough energy to go to Lowe's and do some pricing for a few spring/summer home improvement projects. We bought our first window, all of the window's in our house need to be replaced, and we are going to due them as funds permit. We also had to find a way to replace two very odd shaped windows that are on the side of our house. They are original pella windows, and when I say original, I mean probably the year the factory opened. The wonderful window guys at Lowe's get a big Thank you for all of their suggestions and help, especially in keeping the cost down, and our spirits high. We bought a ceiling fan for the guest bedroom to replace the really hideous light fixture, and before too long, that room should be done. Anyone want to visit?

Overall, a great weekend. It feels good to make progress on the house. Next weekend, if you are driving by our house, feel free to stop by and bring a paint brush.
